The dental implant is the laying of a titanium screw that replaces the missing roots. Following the placement of the implant, a tooth is screwed permanently above the implant.
In case of multiple replacements, implants can be used to support the removable prosthesis, providing better chewing and comfort.

The implant process from start to finish.
Consultation
- Consultation with a dentist
- Assessment of the number and position of the teeth to replace
- Taking a panoramic radiography and bone evaluation
- Development of the treatment plan
- Establishing the exact cost of procedures
- Discussion of risks and other treatments
Implantology
- Explanations & Questions
- Medication instructions (only if necessary)
- Anesthesia
- Implant surgery
- Control radiograph taken
- Dressing (sutures) and post-op instructions
A control is provided for two weeks after surgery for the removal of stitches.
Healing Abutment
- Occurs about three months after implant placement
- Radiography, if necessary
- Anesthesia and open access to the implant (gum)
- Laying a abutment cure (healing of the gums)
Following this step, the patient is free to see his general dentist or continue with the Mdex team for placement of implant.
Post-implant Crown
2 months after placement of the healing abutment, you are ready to receive a custom-made porcelain crown in your mouth. Here are the steps:
Dental Impression
Includes X-ray, taking a precision impression, final impression of the implant, and replacement of the healing abutment.
Laying the tooth
Includes healing abutment removal, laying the crown in the mouth, X-ray and adjusting the occlusion.
Control
The control process occurs one week after the installation of the crown, where it will be monitored and adjusted if necessary.
Important Information.
After Surgery Instructions
- Follow prescriptions of antibiotics and analgesics
- Eat warm and soft
- Do not Spit
- Do not drink through a straw
- No suction
- Do not apply heat directly to the operated area
- Avoid alcohol and tobacco consumption until the end of the healing
- If for any discomfort or issue, stay in communication with our dentists.
Risks and Possible Complications
- SWELLING : normal response within 48 hours after surgery
- ECCHYMOSES : at the skin adjacent to the implant, disappear after 7 to 10 days
- PAIN : normal , controlled by pain medication prescribed by the dentist
- BLEEDING : normal 24 to 48 hours after implant placement
- INFECTION : relatively rare at the implant site. Controlled by taking antibiotics, discretion of the dentist.
- FAILURE OF INTEGRATION : (3-7 %), the implant has not merged with the bone. In these cases , remove the implant and start again.
Additional Risks
According to the anatomy of each patient, there is a risk of loss of temporary or permanent sensitivity chin and tongue if the implant is located near the nerve; a risk of sinusitis , a risk of damage of the roots of teeth adjacent to the implant, and a risk of fracture of the jaw during site preparation for the implant in cases of bone atrophy . These risks will be discussed with the treating dentist.
